Documentary. Direction. Storytelling with Purpose.

We craft stories that centre truth, integrity, and inclusion — helping companies and creatives communicate with depth, care, and impact for UK television and digital platforms. Our mission is to tell challenging social and culturally engaging diverse stories.

With over 15 years experience our work has taken me to several countries around the world for a variety of broadcasters for large-scale audiences globally. From UK, to Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and North & South America.

At The Documentary Chambers, we oversee every stage of the storytelling process — from pitching and shaping narratives to casting, gaining access, scripting, and recruiting skilled crews. Our work extends through production and into the edit, where we navigate complex legal and editorial challenges with precision and integrity. Whether working with corporates, creatives, or communities, we bring a duty of care and a deep understanding of human storytelling to every project.

Founded by London-based producer, director and journalist Karen Chambers, The Documentary Chambers is a hub for diverse, disruptive and daring factual content.

We don’t just tell stories. We make audiences feel and act.
